Immersion Trips

What is an immersion trip?

Immersion Trips offer students opportunities to explore social, cultural and environmental issues affecting our regional communities. Each immersion experience provides a different focus for serving and learning.

Students experience direct contact with the community through service providers, engage in conversations with community leaders, and learn how to address real community needs and create social change.

Who is involved?

Each immersion is organized and led by student leaders with support from CSCE staff. Each group will meet before departure to meet, discuss logistics, and learn about the social issues they will be exploring.

How much do the trips cost?

Trips are funded through participant fees that cover the cost of food, lodging, and transportation. Any student may request financial assistance and CSCE staff will work with the Financial Aid Office to determine eligibility for fee reduction.
