Editing DMS Document Links
A DMS Document link is a hyperlink that opens a document, such as a Word document or PDF, when clicked. In this example, we are uploading and linking an Admissions Requirements PDF to the words "Undergraduate Zoology" on the Zoology homepage.
Adding a DMS Document Link
- Hover your mouse over the silver bullet. Click on the Workarea option.
- On the left hand side of the window, find your department's folder. Click on the folder.
- Hover your mouse over the New menu. Choose DMS Document.
- Write in a title for the document.
- Click the Browse button.
- Find the document you want to upload and click Open.
- Click the Publish button.
- Go back to the page you want to edit. Hover your mouse over the silver bullet and choose Edit.
- Highlight the text you want to link.
- Click the Library button to open the Library window. A Library window will appear.
- Select Quicklinks from the dropdown list.
- Find the folder you uploaded the DMS Document to.
- Double click the document.
- Your text should now be an internal link.
