Peer Consulting Program

The Peer Consulting Program far exceeded expectations. The work I am doing was confirmed and supported."

CETL's Peer Consulting Program was created by faculty for faculty. Its goal is to support quality teaching on campus by creating more opportunities for constructive and formative dialogues about teaching through one-on-one consultations with trained peer consultants from across the university.

"The peer consultant invested a tremendous amount of time in providing her comments, suggestions for improvement, and feedback to me."

In 2012-13, seven peer consultants are offering to make themselves available for consultations and classroom observations to any SU faculty member interested in gaining a new perspective on his or her teaching. All feedback will be formative, voluntary, and confidential, and will not become part of any administrative file. To schedule a consultation, or for more information about this program, please use our online consultation request form, or contact the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning on 206-296-2144 or cetl@seattleu.edu.

"My peer consultant was very detailed in his evaluation of the class observation session. He offered very useful information to help with pacing and soliciting student feedback. He also provided leads to other good sources of information."
